Website and shop software

Our website and store are developed with software from Shopify. Personal data that you make available to us for the benefit of our services will be shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, Shopify is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopify is a certified credit card data processor. Shopify uses cookies to collect technical information related to your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. Shopify reserves the right to share collected data within its own group in order to further improve the service. Shopify takes into account the applicable statutory retention periods for (personal) data. The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, your data may be processed in the United States.
Huddle
Our education platform where online programs and courses can be followed is a protected environment and developed with software from Huddle . Personal data that you make available to us for the benefit of our services will be shared with this party. Huddle has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, Huddle is obliged to take appropriate security measures. Email and mailing lists
MailChimp
We send our e-mail newsletters with MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and e-mail address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every e-mail sent automatically via our account you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. If you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether e-mails are opened and read. We use Bold Subscriptions to handle (part of) the subscription payments in our webshop. Bold Subscriptions processes your name, address and residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Shopify payments reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share (anonymised) data with third parties in this context. Shipping and logistics
PostNL
If you place a physical order with us, it is our job to have your order delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

General purpose of the processing
We only use your data for the benefit of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share information with us and we use this information - other than at your request - to contact you at a later time, we will ask you for explicit permission. In some cases , The Fortitude Company may be required by law to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities that the law offers us.
Retention periods
We keep your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also regard this as a request to forget. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable term runs. However, employees no longer have access to your customer profile and documents that we have produced in response to your order.
Your rights
